Letter dated 17 December 2021 from the Permanent Representative of Myanmar to the United Nations, H.E. Mr. Kyaw Moe Tun, addressed to the Secretary-General H.E. Mr. Antonio Guterres, together with the Press Statement issued by the National Unity Government of Myanmar (NUG) on 17 December 2021, appealing for urgent humanitarian assistance to the internally displaced persons (IDPs) and refugees affected by military junta's operation.
The similar letters attached with the NUG's Press Statement were sent to H.E. Mr. Abdou Abarry, President of the United Nations Security Council, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, President of the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, and all Permanent Representatives of the member states of the United Nations.
